That which hath been is that which shall be!!!

We are getting ready to look at prophecy or the end times. So I need to get you thinking in the mode of this particular pattern so that you're not confused and you can see things easily.

Ecc 1:9   That which hath been is that which shall be, and that which hath been done is that which shall be done; and there is nothing new under the sun.

Ecc 3:15  That which is hath been long ago, and that which is to be hath already been; and God seeketh that which is pursued.

I have mentioned this before, but today I want to discuss it with some examples. This principle plays very heavily in the things I will be sharing about the end times. This verse is one of the most important verses in understanding how God reveals to us the things that are going to happen.  This holds true across the board; world affairs, national affairs, state affairs, and even in a man's life.

Some quick examples:

Jesus' life =

Beginning of His ministry, He fasted 40 days.

End of His ministry on Earth, after being raised from death but before He left, He was seen by people for 40 days.

At the beginning of His ministry Satan said to Him,"if you are the Son of God....".

At the end, on the cross, men said to Him," if you are the Son of God...".

At the beginning there was a Joseph in His life, His stepfather Joseph.

At the end there was a Joseph, who gave his own burial tomb for Jesus to be buried in.

At the beginning of Jesus' ministry there was a Herod who died shortly after Jesus was born, who tried to kill Jesus by killing all babies under 2.

At the end there was a Herod, a relative of the first Herod who gave Jesus over to the Roman soldiers to be beaten and crucified.

At the beginning of His ministry there was a Mary, His mother.

At the end of His ministry there was a Mary, Magdalene a follower.

So things ended as they began.

21 Parallels between Arafat and King Herod

Both were leaders in an area known as Palestine

Both were sick when there was an eclipse of the moon

The cause of their illness was unknown

Both went outside their home to find a cure

Both had political dealings with the Jews

Both were hated by a majority of the Jews

Both met with men from Babylon, (Magi with Herod and Persian or Iranian leaders with Arafat)

Both dealt with traitors in a violent manner

Both died in the month of November

It was speculated that both were poisoned

Both had very large funerals in their country

Both had dealings with Bethlehem, Herod is buried there

Both had innocent children killed, Herod in Bethlehem trying to kill baby Jesus and Arafat through terrorism

Both were reported dead before they actually died

Both escaped death several times during there lifetime

Both named no successor which caused confusion as to who was in charge

Both were said to have a terrible body stench before their death

Both had special houses in Jericho

Both were very wealthy much of it hidden from the population

Both lived at a time when Christ was coming to the Earth = This is the sign the pattern is pointing to.

Remember, the history of the past is the prophetic future

Genesis first 1 & 1/2 chapters = no sin

Revelations last two chapters = no sin

Genesis = no pain

Revelations = no pain

Genesis = no sorrow

Revelations = no sorrow

Genesis = no death

Revelations = no death

Genesis = God walks with man

Revelations = God walks with man

Genesis = no Satan

Revelations = no Satan

Our time left to learn and choose is very short, don't miss your opportunity or squander this precious time thinking you have many years left to decide.

The pattern:

Ecc 1:9   That which hath been is that which shall be, and that which hath been done is that which shall be done; and there is nothing new under the sun.

Ecc 3:15  That which is hath been long ago, and that which is to be hath already been; and God seeketh that which is pursued.

We saw the similarities between King Herod, who lived during the first generation of the Church Age, and Arafat who lived during the last generation of the Church Age.

We also saw that there were similarities in the beginning of Jesus' Ministry and the end of Jesus' Ministry.  This may not have pointed us to the End Times, but it shows the pattern just the same.

Pointing to the End Times, is the whole point of this pattern. Over and over God has patterns to reveal to us that we are in the End Time generation. The pattern of Arafat's life, and that it followed the pattern of King Herod was a signal, to those who saw it, that we are the last days generation.
