Since I gave you so much to read over Labor Day, I have kept this really short and simple with a visual aid to really do the teaching.

I want to move on to the Raptures/ Resurrections that are associated with the Tribulation period. It is so funny, Christians fight tooth and toenail as to whether the Rapture takes place pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, pre-wrath of God, post-tribulation, at the return of Jesus, or not at all. Did I miss any? Well, the reason it is so funny, is because they are all somewhat correct.

So why the confusion? Because we Christians have pretty much ignored our Jewish heritage. Christianity sprang out of Judaism. The lessons and prophecies of the Old Testament, according to Paul, were written as much for the Christian people and especially those of the last generation to learn from, and be guided by, as they were for the Hebrews. He said that all those Bible stories about the things the Israelites experienced, happened for our learning!

1Co 10:11 Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come.

AND, it just so happens, that much of the hidden truths of the end times, including the Raptures are in the Old Testament, and buried in the old stuffy Feasts of the Levitical Law.  After-all, God says He reveals the end from the beginning!

The Jewish Feast Days revolve around the harvest of various crops. Besides animal offerings, harvested crops were very much a part of their Feast Day offerings and rituals.

By the way: To the Hebrews, the Feast Days have long been taught to be yearly rehearsals for what is to take place at its fulfillment.

Jesus, used the Jewish crop harvests as a type of God harvesting human souls from the Earth. He even gave a parable about how the wheat (believer) and the tares (non believer) grow together in the same field and at the end of days, the angels would harvest the wheat from among the tares.

This parable and other teachings show that there are different crops (people of God) and different harvests for each crop.

1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

1Co 15:22-24 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

1Th 4:15-18 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we, which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them, which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall ***descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

*** The very first example and rehearsal was Exodus 19:16-20 with Moses, complete with lightning, thunder, earthquake, and voice of a trumpet. All will be present worldwide at the resurrection of the dead believers bodies and the rapture of the believing living of the barley harvest before the last 7 years begins.

Throughout the Bible, we learn of 4 crops, which are also linked with believers, these crops are: Barley, Wheat, Grapes, and Olives. The Tares are unbelievers; they are bundled and thrown into the fire.  Understand, the same method of harvesting is not used for all.

Here we go, here is my lesson chart: Everything is pretty much explained on the chart.

As you see, the answer to the Rapture of believers is no simple answer. The Church has been negligent to study the whole of Scripture, me included. We were taught in Bible school, that since Jesus ushered in the New Testament and this is where, in Bible time, we live, it would be best to focus on the New Testament. I am sorry to say that, that advice has given us only half of the knowledge we need to understand God, life and our future. It is no wonder that Christianity is so divided. The Old Testament with our Hebrew roots is the foundation Jesus taught from. Without that foundation learning is very fragmented.

I hope this helps put this subject in perspective. Remember, this is just the basic, as simple as I could make it.
