Lesson 6b Things I cut out

A few things I cut out last week in order to shorten the lesson.

Daniel explained to the king that the four metals represented four kingdoms that would rule on the earth. Nebuchadnezzar's Babylonian kingdom is identified as the "head of gold," to be followed by an "inferior kingdom," represented by the chest and arms of silver. A third kingdom of "bronze" is represented by the waist and thighs. The fourth kingdom, the legs of iron, will be "strong as iron," and will "crush and shatter" the previous kingdoms. Rome did not do this. Islam did!!

Daniel then describes events under the dominion of the fourth kingdom.

The divided kingdom will retain some of the strength of iron, but it will also have weaknesses, represented by the clay. Because "iron does not mix with clay."

There is also the mingling "with the seed of men" that indicates the people of the fourth kingdom will be found among all the nations (men all over the world) but will not form close ties with them (or with each other because they are divided).

*Right here I want to show you one of those little clues that God put here for all to find.

"And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay." (Daniel 2:41-43, KJV).

God used the word mixed and mingle no less than 4 times in these three verses and each time He is repeating the fact that iron and clay will not bond together. OK, we get it, so how many times does He have to say it? Many believe the redundancy is on purpose. You see, the Hebrew word for mixed and mingle is arab. This iron and clay is not just any kingdom, but the last days kingdom, and they are mixed, arab!

‛ârab

aw-rab'

A primitive root; to braid, that is, intermix; - engage, (inter-) meddle (with), mingle (self),

Coincidence? Maybe!

*Try this one = Hamas is an acronym of the Arabic phrase Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiyya or "Islamic Resistance Movement". The word formed by the acronym corresponds to an Arabic word meaning "enthusiasm, fire, ardor, fervor, zeal, fanaticism".

But In Hebrew, the word hamas =

חמס

châmâs

khaw-mawce'From H2554; violence; by implication wrong; by metonymy unjust gain: - cruel (-ty), damage, false, injustice, X oppressor, unrighteous, violence (against, done), violent (dealing), wrong.

This word is used over 60 times throughout the books of the Bible called the Minor Prophets. They warn Israel of terrible things that will come upon the Jewish people, much of it in the latter days. As the Jewish people read the Minor Prophets in Hebrew, The Prophets warn of hamas over 60 times!

They could have chosen any word or acronym for their organization, and what they chose in their language fits perfectly with how they see themselves, but look what the word says to the Jewish people!!

Coincidence? Maybe!

This was written loooong before Hamas was formed.

What did God say about Ishmael, the father of the Arabs and his enormous clan from his 12 sons?

Gen 16:11-12 And the angel of the LORD said ....and shalt call his name Ishmael.... And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him....

wild man = They are wild and fruitful as rabbits. From H6500 in the secondary sense of running                 wild; the onager: - wild (ass ).  H6500 A primitive root; to bear fruit: - be fruitful.

hand = They use all their power, means and direction against EVERY man. A primitive word; a hand (the open one (indicating power, means, direction,

They certainly have lived up to the prophecy of the kind of people they would be.
